KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Badminton World Federation (BWF) President and Olympic gold medalist Poul-Erik Hoyer Larsen revealed on Thursday that he is receiving treatment after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Flamengo netted twice in quick succession after the restart: first with a stunning first-time effort from playmaker Everton Ribeiro and then with a cool Arrascaeta finish after a counterattack.
"This is not the way I'd imagined taking the yellow jersey," Yates said, "If I'm honest, no one wants to take the jersey like this."
"I was looking to take the jersey on stage six anyway so I'll go in with the same tactic - try to win the stage and see what happens."
"We are delighted to enter this exciting new partnership with TCL, following our hugely successful collaboration over the last two years," FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis said.
"We'll see what happens; we have plenty of time in this transfer window and a couple of others as well. Time will tell," commented the forward, who added "the decision is in Real Madrid's hands."
The announcement was made Thursday at the IFA, Internationale Funkausstellung, the world's leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, in Berlin.
"My full efforts are totally focused on leading the Badminton World Federation and fulfilling my role as IOC member. I would like to thank the badminton and sporting community for their ongoing support and I look forward to leading the BWF as we plan for our safe return to international badminton," he said.
THE HAGUE, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Manchester United have signed midfielder Donny van der Beek from Ajax, both clubs announced on Wednesday.
It was a bizarre way for the Frenchman to lose the jersey which he had kept for three days after winning the stage two.
The women's pole vault event was also won by a Swede, as Angelica Bengtsson finished with a best jump of 4.72 meters. Enditem
